Inventory of Legal Form and shareholding requirements in the EU Service sector and their economic Assessment
The study gives an overview of the existing legal form and shareholding requirements in selected sectors (the legal professions, tax advisors, accountants, patent attorneys, engineers and architects) in the EU/EEA Member States. It contains the arguments put forward to justify specific legal form and shareholding requirements at national, regional or local level. Secondly, a methodology is provided to estimate the economic impact of these restrictions as well as the economic impact of simplification or abolishment of those requirements. The methodology designed is used to estimate the economic impact of simplification or abolishment of those requirements at sector and macroeconomic level.
