Thijs Driessen is a researcher in the field of Social Issues. At Panteia he conducts research on a wide range of themes but mainly in the field of labor market, work and income and social security. His main clients are the ministries of Social Affairs and Employment, Public health Welfare and Sports, Education Culture and Science and various branch organizations.
He studied Sociology at the Radboud University Nijmegen with a master's degree in Policy and Applied research. In this master, the influence of social and economic policy on people's lives is studied on the basis of advanced quantitative and qualitative research methods. The central question is how research can be used to study policy, to evaluate and to make policy recommendations.
Thijs previously worked at SEOR, where he was involved in the evaluation study of the European Social fund scheme for Sustainable Employability. Previously he gained experience in policy research and advice at the municipality of Utrecht.
With strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, Thijs manages to acquire knowledge about complex issues and subsequently provide useful advice to various parties.
