Bastiaan van Berne has been working as a researcher and consultant at Panteia since January 2017.
Bastiaan obtained his master’s degree Spatial, Transport & Environmental Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Bastiaan is trained as a quantitative economist. During did his master’s degree he looked at the relationship between infrastructure and spatial- and transport economics.
At Panteia, Bastiaan is involved in data-collection, -processing and -analysis, transport modelling and monitoring within different studies and projects in the field of passenger and (in particular) freight transport. Bastiaan has gained experience within projects such as studies on the TEN-T Core Network Corridors, Short Term Predictions for Freight Transport, studies on transport flows between the Netherlands and China and Studies on inland waterway freight transport.
